Build a 41 ft cruising catamaran with two hulls and a deck you can walk on while she sails. Two dolphin seats at the front, hanging right over the bow waves. Boarding ladders at the back. And a big extra speed sail, the code zero, for fast runs.
The boat rocks gently with the waves, and you stand safely on the moving deck. The wood creaks. The water foams behind you. And you do not have to stay on board. Jump in. Swim between the two hulls, watch your ship rock on the waves beside you. When you are done, climb a ladder at the back and sail on.
When night falls, switch the lights on. A warm lamp hangs over the wheel and spills its light across the deck. Your friends can hang out with you there. Further out, red, green and white navigation lights colour the dark water, like on a real ship.
